The Orangery Maidstone
Amelia chose sunflowers for her bouquet when she married James – and wow she couldn’t have chosen more appropriately. It was hot, hot, hot on their beautiful wedding day at The Orangery Maidstone last month. I looked after the photography while Duncan on was filming duty.
Amelia hired a cottage not far from The Orangery to get ready as the couple were being joined the next day by lots of their family for a post wedding BBQ. The cottage location was fantastic and the girls had their hair and makeup done whilst looking out over fields of grazing horses and blue skies. Everyone was in great spirits as we left for the short drive to meet up with James at The Orangery.
The boys looked very smart and James as relaxed as ever! The weather meant there was no doubt that their ceremony would be held as planned under the beautiful Gazebo. Friends and family made their way through the stunning landscaped gardens and across the waterfall to await Amelia’s arrival with her girls and on the arm of her very proud Dad.
The ceremony was perfect and afterwards James led Amelia down the aisle followed by their guests to start the celebration of their marriage.
After a few requested family groups shots and lots of candid shots too, we escaped with the couple for a walk around the grounds.
The sun shone all day and their summer garden theme could not have been more fitting. The room decoration was simply stunning and soon guests took their seats to enjoy a wonderful wedding breakfast.
After more mingling – and James’ very own Rum bar (with him as the barman!!) the couple cut their colourful cake (which was decorated with edible flowers) before taking the floor for their first dance with a live band.
As night fell the couple surprised their guests with a wonderful firework display by Angelfire Pyrotechnics. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.
Thank you so much to Amelia and James, and your wonderful friends and family for making us feel so welcome x
