Claire & James
The Orangery Maidstone
Claire and James were married in August this year. After an early start we arrived at Claire and James home in Essex. The rooms were full photos of the couple celebrating milestones in their relationship from engagement, first home and the excitement for their wedding day was clear to see from the countdown on their wall. Yes, today was THE day!!
It was lovely to meet Shauna of Shauna Douglass Bridal and Occasion Hair, who did a wonderful job of all the ladies hair. Claire was a lady with a plan! And everything went very smoothly and followed the notes on the white board placed in the dressing room.
After spending time with the Bride and her girls, we left to catch up with James at the nearby church where the ceremony was to be held. The lads looked suitably dapper in their suits from Davids Formal Wear, Hornchurch.
Claire looked absolutely stunning as she made her way into the church with her girls. Her dress, Esmerelda, by Ronald Joyce from Brenda Lorraine Bridal Wear in Hornchurch, was fit for a princess and the girls looked so elegant and pretty in their coral bridesmaid dresses by Coast.
Some excellent choices of music throughout the ceremony really made it their own and reflected their love of all things musical!
After some shots at the church, the Bride and Groom headed off to the Beautiful Orangery, Maidstone for their reception followed by a coach carrying their 100+ guests.
While the guests arrived and settled in with their reception drink, we took the opportunity to walk with the Bride and Groom and capture lots of shots of the two of them enjoying the spectacular ground of The Orangery.
Now James LOVES Dr who (as evidenced by their Bride and Groom Darlek Cake Toppers!!!) and as we returned Claire revealed to James that she had invited a VERY special guest – Yes a DARLEK!!! His reaction was absolutely priceless and caught wonderfully in the shots. It was little touches like this all through the day which made this wedding so personal to the couple, let their interests shine through and made it so very memorable for us too!!
We completed any further group shots the couple had requested and had plenty of time to mingle with guests capturing a mix of candid and informal guest requests.
Just before the Wedding Breakfast, we captured lots of shots of the room which was beautifully decorated with flowers by Scott of Hornchurch, Essex and accessorised with chair covers and styling by Well Dressed in Gillingham. The guests made their way in to be treated to AMAZING food and service by Azra Catering.
We left them all dancing the night away to excellent entertainment by their band and DJ.
Wow, what a wedding, what a lovely, fun couple!! We wish them all the very best for what I know will be a long and very happy married life together.
It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your day – Thank you for having us along!!! x
