We were honoured to be invited to photograph the wedding of Jess and George on the 6th August 2016.
The day started at Jess’ Mum and Dads with Jess surrounded by all her girls having their hair and makeup beautifully styled by Nikki of Nikki Humbles Bridal Beauty. The morning ran very smoothly and to time thanks to Jess’s very thorough timing plan, but then with both Jess and George being teachers, it was never really going to be any other way!!
We had a lovely airy room to take a few shots of Jess in her stunning dress (from Signature Brides in Hythe) before she added the finishing touch of a beautiful bracelet bought by George and delivered in a very thoughtful wedding day ‘survival’ package earlier on that morning.
The sun shone as we arrived at St James Church Egerton for their Ceremony. We caught up with George and the boys who looked super smart in their suits from Moss Bros, Maidstone and were in fantastic spirits.
The light in the church was glorious and the ceremony went off without a hitch, except a broken guitar string which unfortunately cut short some amazing music being played and sung by three of the couples closest friends and family. It meant that we had a tantalising taster and another chance to hear them again later on during the wedding breakfast instead!
The happy couple where whisked off to their reception at the beautiful The Orangery, Maidstone by a lovely little Morris Minor affectionately called Dibble.
Once at The Orangery, the sun continued to shine and we made the most of the fab grounds to capture some lovely shots of Jess and George together along with some great family and candid shots of all their guests enjoying the day.
The couple had chosen a very pale blue theme for their Bridesmaids who looked amazing in dresses from Debenhams which are able to be tied in various different ways (ingenious!!) And this theme carried on in all the floral arrangements for the day (styled by Rosie Ruffle Wedding Flowers), beautiful blue Hydrangea, Gypsophila and cream Roses.
The room looked amazing and was completed by chair covers by Ambassador Furniture Hire. And once seated their guests were treated to a fabulous meal prepared and served by the wonderful staff at Azra Catering.
Guests danced to night away next to a giant illuminated J and G and we left the couple at the end of a wonderful wedding day wishing them all the very best for their new adventures as Mr & Mrs Hawkins.
Thank you Jess and George for having us along, it was a pleasure x
