As I look outside today I long for the summer!!
To lift spirits and remind me of the fantastic summer season to come, I have thought back to the beautiful wedding day of Karen and Luke at The Orangery, Maidstone.
We arrived to capture bridal prep at a nearby hotel to find an ever smiling Karen!!
Hair (by Ultimate Hair, Blackfen) and makeup (by Flame Beauty http://www.flamebeauty.co.uk/ & https://www.facebook.com/FlameBeauty/?fref=ts) for her bridal party was well underway and we managed to sneak off a few shots of the ladies. The mood was so relaxed and Karen absolutely stunning in her dress chosen from Bridal Wardrobe, Rochester alongside her bridesmaids in a pretty peach tone from Bridesmaids of London in Eltham (http://bridesmaidsoflondon.co.uk/ & https://www.facebook.com/Bridesmaildsoflondon/?fref=ts) that we left with plenty of time to catch up with Luke on his last hour as a ‘single’ man!!
Now Luke was nervous and he was so determined that everything was to be absolutely perfect for his Bride to be. And it was. The rooms looked stunning, complete perfection and I knew Karen would be over the moon.
Floral displays were created locally by a family friend who had made the trip form Limerick in Ireland to be a very special part of the day (Cherry Blossoms, Limerick https://www.facebook.com/groups/cherryblossomsflorist/)
To complete the look, the room was dressed with chair covers by Dressing Rooms, Bearsted (https://www.facebook.com/dressingroomskent/?fref=ts)
We captured some shots of Luke with his boys, immaculately dressed in their suits from Slaters of Canterbury (https://www.slaters.co.uk/) before they made their way to wait for Karen’s arrival.
Karen made her way to The Orangery in her Dads white taxi and he proudly accompanied her down the aisle to her waiting Groom.
The ceremony went without a hitch and the happy couple enjoyed a walk around the grounds with us to capture some gorgeous shots together before re-joining their guests.
Everyone appreciated the beauty of the surroundings and also the wonderful food served at the wedding breakfast by the ever delicious Azra Catering (http://azracatering.co.uk/).
The evening drew in and after the couple made their way to the dancefloor to take their first dance as husband and wife, the dancefloor filled and we left everyone to enjoy what was sure to be a fantastic party to end a wonderful day.
Thank you to Karen and Luke, as well as their wonderful friends and family for having us along and making us feel so welcome xx
Ceremony and Reception were also captured beautifully by Ignite Films of Tenterden (http://www.ignitefilms.co.uk/)
